 Here I go... my girlfriend broke up with me…5 years ago…but I just can’t get over her. Every time I see her, my heart aches. And I even saw her kiss another guy the other day, and I just died inside. I don’t know how to deal with this. Please help…

Well, it seems you still have her up on the pedestal you put her on in the beginning. What you need to do now is find the balance between your emotions and your mind. You have to think about the fact that she broke your heart. Point blank: She walked away from you and didn’t care how you felt.  “She doesn’t care about you.” I hate to be bold, but the truth is that when she ended it with you she knew she was hurting you, and she chose to do it anyways. Therefore, the sooner you realize that she doesn’t care about you, the sooner you’ll realize, she doesn’t deserve you to care about her, and you’ll start to let her go. You won’t see her as “yours” anymore, but rather as the girl who walked away from your love and she didn’t care. Who needs that? Not you. Let her go.
