Making Music Better: Bose iPod Dock and Quiet Comfort Headphones

Luxury Electronics: Music never seems to sound quite right going from iPod to speakers, which is why Bose has introduced the SoundDock 10 Digital Music System.

The SoundDock 10 Digital Music System sets a new standard for how good the iPod can sound from a single enclosure. The small, elegant design retains the simplicity of a dock and play, while Bose technology delivers the low-note performance and volume levels of a much larger system.

Measuring only 9" high, 17" wide and 10" deep, the SoundDock 10 utilizes both existing Bose technologies and some new ones, developed especially for the quality sound system. The waveguide was reduced from 75" to 52", using every inch of acoustic space. A Bose woofer, designed especially for the SoundDock 10, delivers four times the efficiency of a conventional woofer. Combined, they eliminate the need for a separate subwoofer.

The original SoundDock was introduced in 2004, giving iPod owners a new way to experience digital music. The new SoundDock builds on that history, improving the quality of sound and bringing to life Bose's commitment of bringing people closer to their music.

Another recent product introduction from Bose is the new Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones, designed to replace the current Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones as the best-performing, quietest headphones from Bose. Bose's efforts in noise reduction technology have led to breakthroughs for military applications and pilots, as well as consumers.

The QuietComfort 15 headphones are the result of more than 30 years in researching noise reduction technology. Without compromising the comfort and fit of the QuietComfort headphone line, the new QC 15 offer better attenuation in loud environments, across a broader range of frequencies.

The new QC 15 headphones place microphones both inside and outside the earcup, to better sense sound in any environment and instantly produce an opposing cancellation signal. While less noise is heard, none of the comfort of the QuietComfort line has been lost.

QC 15 headphones maintain comfort thanks to the around-ear design and can be easily activated at the flip of a switch.

Bose has been a leader in sound and sound reduction technology for decades and is constantly improving upon its own cutting-edge devices for maximum performance.
